Possible thunderstorms for Puget Sound Saturday

Thunder and lightning is possible for Western Washington on Saturday.

A weather front is moved in early Saturday, spreading increasing showers into Western Washington. Most of the day will see off-and-on showers mixed with a few sun breaks and much cooler temperatures.

Highs will only be in the upper 60s to low 70s around Puget Sound.

In the afternoon you may hear some rumbles of thunder with scattered thunderstorms and maybe see some small hail, especially in the Puget Sound convergence zone. The zone should stretch from about Seattle northward to Mount Vernon and east and west from there.

The stormy weather will shift eastward quickly with showers ending by early Sunday. High pressure will build back in, and Sunday should see a sunny and warmer day with highs back into the mid to upper 70s.

Right now, it looks like more sun for next week with highs mostly in the 80s. That sounds a little more livable for most people in the Northwest.
