Western Washington Weather Forecast

Spotty showers and thunderstorm risk continues through Friday morning. Sunny skies for Easter weekend!

SEATTLE — Puget Sound Extended Forecast

Thursday: Lingering showers during the day. PM Thunderstorm chances. Storms may produce gusty winds, downpours, lightning, and small hail. Breezy. Highs in the lower 50s.

Friday: Lingering showers in the morning. PM sunshine. Lows in the upper 30s. Highs in the mid 50s.

Saturday - Monday: Dry and sunny. Morning lows around 40. Highs in the low 60s.

Tuesday & Wednesday: Showers return as a disturbance arrives from the northwest. Highs in the 50s again.

Discussion:

The large low off the coast continues to spin showers onshore through Friday morning. Much like Wednesday, there will be sunbreaks in the mix, and that will create more instability that could deliver more thunder, lightning - and more rainbows! Small hail, gusty winds, and downpours also possible in the strongest storms.

Opening Day (evening, actually. It's a 7:10 pm start) will be showery and cool with temps in the 40s from first pitch through the final out. Dress accordingly and prepare for the return of gnarled traffic around SoDo.

Showers linger into Friday morning, but by quittin' time, the sun will reclaim the skies.

Into Easter weekend, high pressure builds, allowing skies to clear even more and temperatures to warm. Daytime highs warm into the low 60s with plenty of sunshine through Monday. Easter Sunday itself should be marvelous.

A weak disturbance arrives from the northwest Tuesday, bringing back light rain potential. High temperatures will be back down in the 50s.
