Week 2: ALL-USA Performers of the Week

Below are the week 2 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Western Washington Performers of the Week for baseball, softball, lacrosse, and track and field. If there are any outstanding performances, please email the high school sports department at HSSports@king5.com for consideration. Be sure to vote below for who had the best performance last week!

SS Morgan McCullough, West Seattle, baseball. McCullough went 4-for-4, leading West Seattle to a 15-5 victory over Cleveland. The Oregon commit had four RBI, and scored four runs off two homers and a triple.

P Grant Townsend, Bonney Lake, baseball. Townsend can do it all: He pitched a five inning 11-K, two-hitter Thursday against Auburn, while also hitting two doubles and four RBI. He added three RBI against the Trojans Friday.

Isaac Swillie, Lakes, track and field. Swillie won the 100 meter and 200 meter dash against Auburn Riverside with times of 10.75 and 21.37, respectively. The senior also won the long jump and beat his personal record, jumping 22-07.00, and helped his team to a first place finish in the 4×400 meter relay in 3:39.39.

P Chelsea Smith, Bellarmine, softball. In the Lions only game last week, Smith threw a no-hitter. In her seven innings of work, she had 12 strikeouts and three walks.

3B Kayla Ellis, Jackson, softball. She started Week 2 off by going 3-for-4 with two doubles and a homer against Lynnwood, then homered again on Thursday against Eastlake. The Timberwolves won both games and are now 5-1.

M Ashley Cusack, Kennedy Catholic, lacrosse. Cusack led her team to a 16-9 win over Bellinghame with six goals, two assists, seven ground balls, nine draw controls, and six caused turnovers.
